The Bankes Brothers are a Canadian band fronted by brothers Nelson and Morgan Bankes, whose lifelong friendship and shared musical chemistry have shaped their evolution from the very beginning. On October 14, 2026, the band will announce their debut album, For the sake of my love I hope I make it, arriving February 10, 2027, alongside the release of “Georgia Peaches.” Recorded with acclaimed producer Gus van Go (The Beaches, Metric, Arkells), the track captures the spirit of the album: intimate, instinctive, and willing to follow a song wherever it leads. From the lo-fi feeling of its original bedroom-written demo to the sound of rain intentionally captured outside the studio during recording in Toronto, “Georgia Peaches” reflects the band’s instinct to preserve the unexpected.

The album arrives following a breakout run across 2025 and 2026 that has seen The Bankes Brothers return to international stages, including Isle of Wight Festival and Reeperbahn Festival, alongside support dates across the UK and Europe with Great Gable and The K’s. In Canada, they have shared stages with Cold War Kids, Band of Skulls, Current Swell, and Jesse Roper, including multiple performances at Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom and a hometown appearance at Phillips Backyard Music Festival in front of more than 5,000 people.

That momentum has extended online and across radio, with the band surpassing 1.5 million Spotify streams, more than 50,000 monthly listeners, and 15,000 followers across social platforms. Their music has earned four SiriusXM full-rotation adds, reached the Top 30 on Canadian Alternative radio, and continued to gain support from UK broadcasters including Amazing Radio and Radio Reverb, alongside influential voices such as John Kennedy, Roddy Hart, and Mickey Bradley.
